Maasin City Forest Park

Maasin City Forest Park

For those who love nature trekking but do not have much time to wander far from the city, Maasin City Forest Park might be for you. Situated at Sitio Danao, Malapoc Norte, the park centers around Mian’s Peak, has a man-made lake and well, a lot of trees. You can have a picnic by the lake, climb the peak, or take a stroll around.

How to get there:
If you have your own car, go to Tuburan and drive up for about 20 minutes until you get to the Park — no kidding, it’s that easy to find. If you somehow manage to get lost, there are villages near the place, so you can ask around.
You can also opt to hire a habal-habal (for about P50 per head) at Tuburan to get you to the park. You can negotiate with the driver for the pickup time. Warning: most habal-habal drivers do not usually offer helmets, so hire at your own risk.

Recommendations:
This place is OK for picnics, dates, and communing with nature.
